Day 1

Arrival in the South West of France, in Cap Ferret you stay in a private villa in the heart of the Peninsula.

Enjoy a walk on the large beaches of the Cap Ferret. Cycles are at your disposal if you desire have a ride on the peninsula and along the beaches.

Day 2

Visit the Cap Ferret and its treasures with a private guide with on the program: the lighthouse, la Pointe du Cap Ferret, the charming villages like l’Herbe and Le Canon, the markets and local shops. Also, enjoy a tasting of the famous oysters of Cap Ferret in a typical cabin by the water. 

At the end of the day admire the sunset from the ocean beach, it is wonderful.

Day 3

You visit Arcachon city with a private guide, with on the program : la Ville d’Hiver with charming villas from the XIXth century, the Mauresque park, the city center, the port, and main places of the city.

Have a lunch in Arcachon and then enjoy an ice-cream or waffle at Le Moulleau, a district in Arcachon, they are delicious.

At the end of afternoon enjoy the Dune du Pilat and the amazing panorama you have from the Dune. At the end of the day take an aperitif in a beautiful restaurant there and enjoy a beautiful sunset on the ocean. 

Day 4

Enjoy a day on the Banc D’Arguin, bring a picnic with you and a taxi boat drives you to this exceptional natural island in the middle of the Arcachon basin. There you have a beautiful view on the Cap Ferret, Dune du Pilat and Arcachon, a wonderful sandy paradise. 

Day 5

The morning enjoy a trip on a Chaland (a typical boat of the Arcachon basin) to see the bird island and visit in another way the Arcachon Basin. If desire, you can have a lunch time on the boat with local gastronomic products. 

The afternoon, relax at the beach (ocean side or basin side as you wish), you can have lesson for surfing on the ocean if you desire.

Day 6

You decide your program, you can enjoy Cap Ferret, beaches, other villages like La Vigne and Grand Piquet and thus to make some stops in the local shops and art galeries. You can take some surfing class with a private coach. 

Or going on a day escape in Biscarosse lake and discover this enchanting place.

Day 7

After a last walk on the beach, you go back home with many beautiful memories from this journey in Cap Ferret.

  • Enjoy a trip on a typical boat on the Arcachon Basin for a magnificent view of Cap Ferret, Arcachon and the surrounding area, and of course get close to Bird Island.
  • The Banc d’Arguin is a timeless place to discover.
  • Discover the region between late May and early July, or in September for true serenity.
  • Oyster huts, fish, white dunes, etc. plenty of good local produce to sample, especially at the markets in Cap Ferret or Arcachon, where you can shop many products.
  • Dune du Pilat in the early morning or at the end of the day, to avoid the crowds and enjoy an exceptional panorama.
