Menton, city of colors, is well known for its lemons, real gold of the inhabitants of Menton. To celebrate this local product, the city organizes each year the festival of lemons in February. Flowered naval combat of Villefranche-sur-mer
In the port of Villefranche-sur-mer, in February, the flowered naval combat takes place. For the occasion, the typical boats called “pointus” are covered with flowers such as mimosa and carnations, and they parade by distributing flowers to the spectators who come to admire these festivities. A tradition perpetuated since 1902 between colors and flowers.
